Do you give presents to other people? Christmas presents, birthday presents, those sorts of things? Isn't it an amazing feeling when the person expresses genuine gratitude for what you've done? You feel closer. You are bonded. You care about each other.

In God's world Gratitude is very important. We must be grateful for the things we have, however few or meager they may seem. Truly, there is always someone worse off than yourself. The more gratitude you express, and it must be genuine, the more room you give God to work with you. God doesn't need our gratitude to boost up his ego; it's more of an expression on our parts that we're not the Big Kahuna. The buck doesn't stop with us. We're a vital part of humanity and God's creation, but we're not the center of it. The universe doesn't spin around us.
